Chad Smock started One Season Heating & Air Conditioning for a simple reason: after 15 years inside the HVAC industry, he’d seen exactly how Orange County homeowners were being treated, and he knew it could be better.

He didn’t come to that from the outside. Chad started on the tools as a Senior Technician at Service Champions in 2010, spending seven-plus years diagnosing and repairing systems in real homes before moving into leadership. He went on to run sales and operations at American Residential Services, one of the largest residential HVAC companies in the country, as Sales Manager and then Responsible Managing Officer (RMO) and General Manager, and later served as General Manager of SoCal Airflow Pros. Across those years, through consolidations and acquisitions, he watched service calls quietly turn into sales presentations and homeowners get pushed toward work they didn’t need.

“One Season wasn’t created by accident. It was built out of experience.”

So in 2024 he built the company he’d want working on his own home: straight diagnostics, honest pricing, and zero-pressure recommendations.
